About Hatter's Farm
Successfully farming in Essex since 1940
For years, Hatters Farm has been a beloved part of the Essex countryside, known for our family values and commitment to creating memorable experiences. While many knew us for our autumn adventures, we've always dreamed of celebrating the magic of spring in an equally spectacular way.
That dream became reality when we planted our first tulip bulbs and watched the Essex landscape transform into a sea of colour. What began as an experiment has blossomed into a cherished seasonal tradition.
Ross and his partner Grace started the Pumpkin Patch in 2020.
In 2022 we introduced our twighlight pumpkin picking evening "Pumpkin Nights".
In 2023 the new confetti flower fields were introduced! Improvements were also made to the Pumpkin Picking experience with the addition of Hatter’s Mad House and indoor space.
In 2026 we launched Hatter’s Tulip Festival, bringing a brand new spring experience to the farm with vibrant tulip displays, photo moments, and pre picked tulips to take home.
Our People
A full family affair, you’ll frequently find Ross alongside his partner, Mum, Dad, 2 sisters, family dog, and often some cousins chucked in there for good measure!
Local Area
Hatter’s Farm is nestled between the villages of Hatfield Broad Oak and Takeley which are home to some fantastic pubs! So if you fancy making a day of it and going out for a lovely pub meal before or after visiting Hatters Farm.
Then we would highly recommend visiting the Dukes Head or The Lion and Lamb.
